MTE's - Mission Training Exchanges

During the month of September, we did mission training exchanges.  This is where we go out to the zones, usually 2 at a time, and teach the missionaries teaching skills in the morning.  At noon, we send them out with a coach (an assistant to the president, zone leaders, sister trainers, President Clayton, or Sister Clayton).  One day, we even had some of our senior missionaries go with us! 

 Our missionaries are the most prepared missionaries in the world!   (Of course, every mission thinks that, be we know we are right)!

Mission President's Fireside, September 11, 2011

Every month we have a Mission President's Fireside at one of our stake centers in the mission.  Our missionaries practice as a choir and also as soloists, and perform that evening.  Along with the music, we show Mormon Messages.  New converts bear testimony and President Clayton concludes with a brief message and testimony.  We all look forward to being together for the evening and the missionaries bring their investigators and less active members to share the evening with us.

MCRD Graduation Activities

Every weekend, a new group of recruits graduates from the MCRD.  On Thursday afternoons, our senior missionaries who are assigned to military relations prepare a luncheon for the graduates after this ceremony.  It is inspiring to watch!

The MCRD is "boot camp" for the United States Marine Corp!

One of the newest members of our deaf branch, Mary, on her baptism day last month with Elder Godfrey and Elder Daniel.  These elders are having great success.  It's wonderful!
